Recruitment Overview

Hello Tiger!

My name is Caitlin Cox and I am the Vice President of Public Relations on Clemson Panhellenic’s Executive Council.

First off, let me be the first to welcome you to Clemson University! You have already made the amazing decision to go Greek, so throughout the rest of the summer, I will be writing to you to ensure you are prepared and completely comfortable with the formal recruitment process here at Clemson.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at cupanhelleniccouncil@gmail.com.

Day 1-Tuesday, August 19th-Orientation
Today, you will meet your Pi Chi! A Pi Chi is a recruitment counselor. She has disaffiliated from her own sorority to help you find the chapter that’s best for you. Be sure to get to know her! Your Pi Chi will be your best source for advice throughout the week.

Wednesday, August 20th-Circle of Sisterhood BBQ Picnic
This year, Panhellenic Council will be hosting a pre-recruitment picnic style at Tiger Park. The BBQ will last from 4-8 PM. There will be a $7 entry fee for this event that benefits our Panhellenic-wide philanthropy, The Circle of Sisterhood. This picnic is not mandatory, but serves as a great chance to get to know other girls going through the recruitment process!

The Circle of Sisterhood leverages the collective influence of sorority women to raise financial resources for for entities around the world that are removing educational barriers for girls an women facing poverty and oppression. Clemson Panhellenic as a whole has adopted this philanthropy to combat these issues affecting women around the world. Together, we can make a difference.

Day 8-Wednesday, August 27-Bid Day
This is the last day of formal recruitment! On Bid Day, you will receive a bid from a sorority and run down Bowman Field to join your new sisters!

As you probably noticed, formal recruitment at Clemson takes place during the first week of classes. This week is “syllabus week,' and generally involves an extremely minimal workload. Should you experience any class conflicts with recruitment rounds, don't worry! They will be accommodated by the Panhellenic Executive Board.

Now that you have a better grasp of what to expect during the week, get to know Panhellenic's Executive Council.
